Night Walking Streets in Hue City: Pham Ngu Lao – Chu Van An – Vo Thi Sau

The streets of Hue City, including Pham Ngu Lao, Chu Van An, and Vo Thi Sau, are vibrant, especially on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights of every week, due to the walking areas set up on these roads.

This area is the second pedestrian street to be opened in Hue City, following Nguyen Dinh Chieu Walking Street, which is located along the Perfume River.

These walking streets will operate from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am the next morning on three weekends.

The pedestrian streets have a total length of over 1 km, with the Pham Ngu Lao route being 215 m long, the Chu Van An road being 350 m long, and the Vo Thi Sau route being 480 m long.

At certain junctions, students from the Hue Academy of Music and local artist groups organize street music performances for pedestrians. Along the walking streets, there are traditional culinary areas where guests can sit and enjoy a cup of beer or local Hue cuisine.

Since the day the pedestrian streets of Hue opened, Hue has shed its reputation as “the city that goes to bed early.” Thanks to many bars, restaurants, and shops opening until 2:00 am, this contributes to developing tourism activities, creating more choices at night in the city.

Hue’s Walking Streets opened on September 29, 2017, with the enthusiastic responses of thousands of locals and tourists. Additionally, the Hue authority has invested many billions of Vietnamese dong to prepare the infrastructure of the pedestrian zone along these three main roads.

All of these are considered the wishes of the Hue people and the local government to increase tourist experiences and attract more travelers coming to Hue. Now, the routes become busy business areas at night in Hue.

The pedestrian streets still receive the support of a large number of people, especially young people.

More and more restaurants, eateries, entertainment places, and souvenir shops are opening and attracting a large number of customers. The number of visitors has increased significantly.

These walking streets have become an exciting destination, offering relaxing and fun moments for everyone.

Not only that, all activities here are extended until late at night to meet the needs of domestic and foreign tourists.
