How to Go to the Da Nang Dragon Bridge

However, if you are a foreign tourist, consider taking a private car, which is generally considered safer. Besides, it can be easy to combine a visit to nearby attractions, such as Han Market, Chicken Church, Cham Museum, Son Tra Peninsula, or the Marble Mountains.
Dragon Bridge intersects 6 main and beautiful wide roads in Da Nang, including Bach Dang Street, Tran Phu Street, Nguyen Van Linh Street, Le Dinh Duong Street, Trung Nu Vuong Street, and 2/9 Street. You just approach one of the 6 streets above, which will lead to the right place.
General history of the bridge
Dragon Bridge in Da Nang is the 6th one across the Han River, built in July 2009 and officially opened in March 2013.
This bridge was designed by Ammann & Whitney Consulting Engineers and the Louis Berger group, and built by Transport Works Construction Corporation 1 (Vietnam) as the construction contractor, with an investment capital of over 1,700 billion Vietnamese dong.
The Dragon Bridge has a total length of 666 meters and a width of 37.5 meters, divided into six lanes.
The typical look of the Dragon Bridge is that it has the shape of a dragon in the Ly Dynasty reaching out to the sea, expressing the strong desire of the people in Da Nang city.
The dragon body curves in tandem with the bridge spans, supported by five large steel pipes and protected by five layers of paint to shield it from external impacts. Additionally, the lighting system, which includes 15,000 LED lights, creates a colorful glow across the entire bridge at night.
The presence of this bridge has created more convenient transportation for local traffic, reducing the distance to drive from Da Nang airport to Hoi An and making it easier to visit My Khe Beach as well.
With a prominent location in the city center, Dragon Bridge has become the pride of the local people and a symbol of a modern and dynamic city.

Where is it good to see the bridge spraying water and fire?
Watching the Dragon Bridge spray fire and water is an exciting experience. However, choosing a place with a good view for easy viewing or taking photos needs to be considered carefully.
During the time of spraying water and fire, traffic will be temporarily stopped from passing through the bridge. Thus, you can comfortably walk on the bridge to see this activity. For a wider view, you can stand at its foot on Tran Hung Dao or Bach Dang Street.
